ADOPTING

Q: Where is your shelter located?

A: We are a foster based rescue, therefore we do not have a shelter or facility.  We operate out of NJ/PA/DE.

Q: How does one go about meeting one of your dogs?

A: We have adoption events monthly and we also arrange meet-n-greets with approved potential adopters.

Q: What is your adoption process?

A: The adoption process begins with our online application.  From there,  if we feel the dog is a good fit we then proceed to check 3 references and complete a home visit.  If all are good we then move forward with arranging a meet-n-greet.

Q: Do you do same day adoptions at adoption events?

A: No, we do not.

Q: How much are your adoption fees?

A: Our adoption fees range from $150-$450 depending on many variables such as age, expenses incurred for that particular dog, and medical conditions.

Q: What is included in the adoption fee?

A: All dogs are UTD on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.  Dogs that are over 6 mths old are also on HeartWorm Preventative. And other than the winter months, all dogs are on flea preventative.

Q: How long does the adoption process take?

A: The average turn around time is 3-5 days but can be longer depending on how long it takes references to return phone calls and the availability of volunteers in your area to complete the home visit.

Q: How do you chose which applicant gets the dog?

A: We typically receive multiple applications for each dog listed. We do not chose an applicant based on the first come, first serve basis. Instead we chose the applicant that is the best fit for the dog. It is all about the dog and what would be the best fit for him/her.

Q: If we do not hear from anyone, does that mean we are not approved?

A: The volume of emails we receive is very high, however we do our best to let everyone know whether they are approved or not.

FOSTERING

Q: I'm interested in fostering. What is involved?

A: We provide all medical care & supplies needed (collar, leash, food, crate) for the pup/dog, you provide the home & love. We promote the dogs on Petfinder & Facebook as well as we do have adoption events on a monthly basis. All we need from you is to keep us updated with pictures and bring them to events.  If you cannot attend events, we do our best to get volunteers to help transport them to the events.

Q: How long would I foster for?

A: It really varies...it could be anywhere from 1 week to a few months.

Q: How do I become a foster?

A: If you live in the NJ/DE/PA area and are interested in fostering, you need to start by filling out our online foster application.  From there we would check your references and conduct a home visit.  If all check out you would then be considered approved.  Once approved, we would work with you to find a foster that fits best with your lifestyle and experience level.

VOLUNTEERING

Q: I am not able to foster.  Is there anything else I can do to help out?

A: YES! There are so many ways to help out and help is always needed and welcomed! Ways you can help out are by crossposting our dogs in need via social media, transporting dogs to Vet appointments, trainers, or to Adoption Events, helping at Events, helping with fundraising, grant writing, and the list goes on.
